For whom is it intended ?
|
The general French language courses for seniors are designed for any person over the age of 50 willing to learn French or better his proficiency while spending real holidays on the seaside. You will both be able to enjoy the pleasant setting of the city and its numerous attractions and the discovery of the wild camargue.

Organization of the courses
|
This course take place in La Grande Motte, a futuristic seaside resort located in the heart of the Camargue and about 23 km from Montpelier. Accommodation is proposed on a confortable Residence “ATC Route du Monde” located at only about 300 meters from the nice sandy beaches. The French courses are performed in well equipped classrooms of a training center in the city center of La Grande-Motte.
- 1 week = 15 hours courses
- 2 weeks = 30 hours courses
Monday to Friday, from 9h00 AM to 12h30 PM (with a 30 minutes pause).
For the people who wish it, optional program is proposed in complement of the course : Spa care or Thalassotherapy, cultural activities program, sport activities, cooking courses or local wine tasting.

Accommodation in the Residence ATC Route du Monde |
|
The Hotel-Club Residence « ATC Route du Monde », is very comfortable, located in the center of La Grande Motte and at only 300 meters away from the beach., The hotel residence is built on two floors with an elevator and it has about 36 apartments ranging from one to 2 rooms, set within a park and surrounded by well protected green sites and near shopping facilities. Sheets are provided but you may bring your own bathroom linen. The residence offers many services such as a laundry room, a reception, a night guard, private parking, access to the Internet, a bar, a bodybuilding room, a TV room as well as a children’s club (from age 3 – 17). The transfer from Montpellier to La Grande Motte and back is provided by ABM and it is free.
Meals on half-board basis 7 days on 7
The breakfast and the other meals are taken in one of the restaurant dining halls of the Residence ATC and are offered in a half-board program (lunch after the morning courses, or dinner in the evening according to the program). The lunches or the dinners are pre-selected on the basis of a sole menu comprising; starters, main course, cheese and dessert. Possibility of full-board. If you wish you can add supplementary meals either order picnic or to invite persons of your choice.
Animations into the Résidence :
A complete program of animations is set up in the Residence ATC Route du Monde for the persons having chosen packages all inclusive FGGME1B and 1C. Among the daily animations proposed : an aperitif at the beginning and the end of your stay, thematic conference (follow up of debates), games in group, a theme evening with dance., TV access, a weekly French DVD film presentation. For everybody a guided tour of La Grande Motte is proposed at the beginning by the stay.

The French courses
|
|
The French courses are performed in well equipped classrooms of a training center in the city center of La Grande-Motte.
The programme in La Grande-Motten offers 15 hours of lesson per week in the morning, Monday to Friday, from 9h00am to 12h30pm (with a break of 30 minutes). A program of animations and activities is proposed in the packages all inclusive.

Quality courses in small groups
A quick and efficient language test will be given on the first training day. It will allow to discover each person’s linguistic needs. imentés, diplômés de l'Université et spécialistes de l'enseignement du Français Langue Etrangère assureront un enseignement de grande qualité. Les groupes vont de 3 à 10 élèves par classe.

Courses are organized in a practical, communicative and dynamic manner, in which the participants are often challenged. They aim to improve the use of the written, as well as the oral expression. However the emphasis is placed upon the oral expression of the French language and aims to develop the ability to express oneself in a useful, everyday French (expressing ones’ emotions and feelings, asking for information, developing social links, giving information, describing attitudes, conducting telephone conversations, giving speeches, describing ones’ thought by using precise vocabulary….).

Enriching one’s vocabulary by subject will be part of the learning process of the French language, as well as reviewing grammatical difficulties which are encountered by the senior public.
Quiz and role play style exercises will also be offered in a way as to make the exercises educational and non restrictive. The use of authentic documents (audio, video, newspaper or magazine articles) will be efficiently integrated in the teaching.

Sports and cultural activities
Other activities: spa cares or thalassotherapy, dining in a restaurant, going to the movies, horseback riding, water sports and other sports activities, going to an aquatic park or swimming pool, golfing, tennis, boat rides, initiation to sailing, surfing, going downtown, to shows and participating in diverse cultural activities, etc.
