Pratical information Come to Montpellier


By plane

The international airport Montpellier-Méditerrannée is located just 5 miles outside the city.There are approx. 14 daily connections with Paris (flying time 1 hour), but also direct flights to some European cities (like London or Frankfurt) and several French cities.

A shuttle bus connects the airport with the centre of Montpellier (approx. 15 minute journey to Montpellier centre, approx. 5 € for a single).

By train

Montpellier is on the main line Paris-Lyon - Perpignan - Barcelona and is connected to all major cities in France and Europe by TGV (High speed train). The travel time between Paris and Montpellier is approx. 3 hours 15 minutes.

By car

Montpellier is on the main motorway Lyon – Barcelona and offers therefore easy access from all European countries.

 

Your reception

If you choose accommodation on with a French family : your host family will meet you and also bring you back free of charge as long as arrival details are given to the family (or ABM) at latest one week prior to arrival.
For all other accommodation you take a taxi or the shuttle bus. In this case you get precise information on public transport with your accommodation information.
